In this season of peace on earth and goodwill toward men, Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore has released a Christmas card featuring a photo of her and her family all posing in jeans and festive red shirts. Just lovely.

Oh, and did we mention that they are all holding guns—even her young grandson Jake?
Little Jake is packing a Walther p22 handgun. How do we know it’s a Walther, given that we aren’t firearm experts? Fiore has conveniently provided a guide at the top left corner of the family photo listing exactly what kind of weapon each person is holding.
Fiore herself poses with a Serbu Super Shorty 12ga, which in case you are interested, is classified as an AOW (“Any Other Weapon,” meaning that it is a modified firearm that does not fit the conventional shotgun, rifle or handgun definitions.)

Others in the family are carrying Beretta or Glock semi-automatic pistols.
And it looks like Grandma, given that she’s older and not quite as strong as the young’uns, has an Extar XP556, which although it looks rather big, is billed as the lightest pistol in the world.
Are you with us in thinking that this Christmas card might be just a wee bit tone deaf in light of last week’s lethal attack by a gunman on aPlanned Parenthood facility in Colorado, or this past Wednesday’sshooting attack in San Bernadino, California that killed 14 and injured 21?
Fiore must realize her holiday greeting is gauche considering that mass shootings take place on average every day in the US, right?
Apparently she doesn’t. The fact that 462 people have died and 1,314 have been wounded in mass shootings in the US this year doesn’t raise a red flag for her that a family photo full of firearms does’t register as holiday cheer.
Fiore, who has officially declared her intention to run for a Congressional seat in Nevada’s 3rd District, is a well known for her pro-gun activism. Earlier this year she sponsored a bill to allow people with a concealed carry permit to carry weapons in non-secure areas in airports, and also on school grounds including college campuses, K-12 schools, and day care centers. The bill was passed by the Nevada Assembly in April, but failed to be passed by the Nevada Senate.
For Fiore, guns are apparently as American as mom and apple pie—and, of course, Christmas dinner.
“It’s up to Americans to protect America. We’re just your ordinary American family,” she posted on Facebook as an introduction to her Christmas card.
And if there aren’t enough guns for you in Fiore’s holiday card capping off 2015, there’s also her “Michele Fiore’s 2016 Walk the Talk 2nd Amendment Calendar, which features her posing in that sexy-but-don’t-mess-with-me kind of way with a different weapon every month to start your New Year with a bang.
